Spark is an interactive, web-based software application that supports brainstorming and idea campaigns. Spark simplifies the collection and management of ideas in a brainstorming process, and provides tools that allow grouping, ranking and voting on ideas. Spark includes a shared whiteboard which allows team members to upload pictures as ideas or draw new pictures or graphics and mark them up in real time.

Workgroups can use Spark to brainstorm new ideas in a wide range of settings:

• When the entire team is together in one location, Spark captures the ideas in real time and provides tools to group ideas and rank or vote on ideas.
• When the team is distributed geographically, anyone, anywhere can participate in a brainstorming session by connecting through the web.
• Spark also supports idea campaigns or jam sessions. These sessions are iterative idea generation sessions in which teams generate ideas, leave the session and then return to the session to generate more ideas at a later date and time.

Spark improves the capture and management of ideas in a brainstorm or idea campaign and improves the ranking and prioritization process. Spark archives and stores ideas in an easy-to-use and easy-to-retrieve system, reducing redundancy and rework.
